ING predicts cheaper refuelling

As far as Europe’s gas supply is concerned, things are going to get tense in the near future, but fossil drivers should not worry for the time being. Thanks to the stable oil market, cheaper refuelling awaits them.
It is winter, and that means we are currently consuming more gas than we are taking in. Our supplies are dwindling, and for the Netherlands, that means it already has the lowest supply of gas in the whole of the Netherlands with 44 per cent utilisation. If cold winter days still await us, that will drop further. Even so, ING estimates that there will still be enough after the winter, although the country will need to have more than normal supplies replenished. That will cause rising prices, predicts the bank’s research.
As for oil, and hence petrol and diesel, there is some good news, though. “The oil market appears stable, with prices expected to fall,” ING’s energy experts say of the base of fuels at the pump. And that might lead to lower prices in the near future. So your fossil fuelling should get cheaper soon.
