De Haan expands with Shell station
De Haan Tankstations has expanded its network with a Shell station on the A58 near Bergen op Zoom. Until recently, Total Energies was displayed there on the awning.
De Haan’s network now numbers just under 190 locations, of which Shell Wouwse Tol is thus the newest. Of those stations, visitors can visit one hundred with a Tony’s-style catering service, which is also provided at the location on the A58 near Bergen op Zoom. At this location, according to the owner, there is “an ideal stop for both locals and travellers.”
The ‘transformed’ station is described by De Haan as modern and fully equipped. People can fill up there 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In addition, snacks, drinks, sandwiches, Turkish pizzas, burgers, car accessories and more will be sold at Shell Wouwse Tol. With a number of comfortable seating areas, the company aims to allow travellers to relax and enjoy their meal for a while. Outside, there is ample parking for cars, vans and trucks.
Taken over from family business
The station on the A58, together with a Shell station in Steenbergen, was taken over by De Haan from family company Bastians at the end of last year. The operation of both locations had been handled by that company for 70 years until then. ‘We hope you will show De Haan Tankstations the same loyalty you have given us,’ the former owners wrote on Facebook at the time.
