Fastned grows in Q1 2025 and expands into Italy

Fastned has posted record sales in the first quarter of 2025. The company reported “significant” growth in the amount of energy sold and the number of charging sessions in January, February and March. It also opened its first charging station in Italy.
Fastned’s first-quarter revenue reached 28 million euros, up 48% from Q1 2024. Renewable energy sales grew 34 per cent to 42.1 gigawatt hours. Gross profit rose to 19.3 million euros.
Fastned also opened its first charging station in Italy this quarter, at the rest area Truck Park Brescia Est, along the busy A4 motorway between Brescia and Padova. This is a major traffic artery in the north of the country. There are eight 400 kW chargers at the charging station. Italy is currently the eighth country where Fastned operates. There are plans to expand the network to a ninth country by 2025. In addition, 10 additional sites have already been acquired for the development of future stations in Italy.

353 operational stations
Fastned now has 353 operational stations. New stations were opened in Belgium, France, Switzerland and the UK. Co-founder and CEO of Fastned, Michiel Langezaal, says he is proud of Fastned’s growth this quarter. “The record high in quarterly revenue shows the growing value of our quality charging concept, while our arrival in Italy means we are now active in eight countries in Europe – big steps towards our vision of a future consisting solely of electric transport. The transition to electric mobility is accelerating again, and we will continue to expand our network while maintaining our best-in-class station design and driving experience.”
